Description	:	SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. BIRD DUCKETT Almira Leona, daughter of Adam and Mary Easton Rowe, was born near Springfield, Illinois, May 19, 1883. She moved to Fayette county, Iowa with her family in 1899. She was united in marriage to Frank G. Duckett on March 3, 1900, and they spent all of their married life on a farm east of Stanley. To this union six children were born: Mrs. Edna Smith, Aurora; Bernice, of St. Paul, Minnesota; Mrs. Jemima Thom of Aurora; Frank and Leonard of Stanley. BIRD DUCKETT Almira Leona, daughter of Adam and Mary Easton Rowe, was born near Springfield, Illinois, May 19, 1883. She moved to Fayette county, Iowa with her family in 1899. She was united in marriage to Frank G. Duckett on March 3, 1900, and they spent all of their married life on a farm east of Stanley. To this union six children were born: Mrs. Edna Smith, Aurora; Bernice, of St. Paul, Minnesota; Mrs. Jemima Thom of Aurora; Frank and Leonard of Stanley. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sylvia, who died at the age of 12 in 1918; her husband in 1938; one grandson, Robert Smith; one sister, Sylvia; and one brother, Oral Rowe. Besides the five children, she is survived by 12 grandchildren, Leona Smith Goddard, Shirley Smith Myrton, Donald Smith, George Roger and Gayle Thom, Jane and Ronald Duckett, Leslie, Leta, Judith and Kathleen Duckett; one great-grandchild and five step-great-grandchildren; three brothers, William of Albion, Pennsylvania, Charles of Utica, Illinois, and Samuel of Luck, Wisconsin. She was a long-time member of the Union church and Ladies Aid of Stanley. Funeral services were held at the Union church in Stanley, Thursday afternoon. The Rev. J. R. Dikkers, pastor of the church officiated. Mrs. Walter Fredrick, accompanied by Mrs. Frank Brownell, sang. Pallbearers were Wayne Crewell, Clarence Parker, Harold Smith, Kyle Ingamells, George Hill and Elmer Morgan. Burial was in Stanley cemetery.
