Description	:	BERNICE DUCKETT Funeral services for Bernice Leona Duckett, 63, were held Saturday, April 20, at the Union church in Stanley. The Rev. Robert Engbrecht officiated. Burial was in the Stanley cemetery. The daughter of Frank and Almira "Bird" Duckett she was born on July 11, 1904 and died at Mercy hospital in Oelwein on April 17, 1968. She graduated from the Stanley High school and attended Upper Iowa university at Fayette. She taught in the rural schools of the community. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Edna Smith and Mrs. Lester Thom, both of Aurora; two brothers, Frank of Stanley and Leonard of Independence and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sylvia. Pallbearers were nephews, John Jessen, Paul Copenhaver, Raymond Myrton, Leslie Duckett, Donald Smith and Ronald Duckett.
