Description	:	Francis Duckett Francis George Duckett, son of Edward and Sarah Duckett, was born on the home farm near Stanley April 26th, 1871 and departed this life on February 9, 1938 being 66 years, 9 months and 14 days of age. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Almira "Bird" Rowe, of Tonica, Illinois. To this union six children were born. He is survived by his widow and five children; Mrs. Edna Smith of Aurora; Miss Bernice Duckett of Waterloo; Mrs. Jemima Thom, of Stanley; Frank and Leonard of Stanley. One daughter died in 1918. He is survived by his widow and five children; Mrs. Edna Smith of Aurora; Miss Bernice Duckett of Waterloo; Mrs. Jemima Thom, of Stanley; Frank and Leonard of Stanley. One daughter died in 1918. He is also survived by seven grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister; E. D. Duckett of Lamont; Mike Duckett, of Stanley; Arthur Duckett of Oran, and Mrs. Lizzie Jenney of Oelwein. Mr. Duckett joined the Union church in Stanley in 1918 and was a faithful member to the time of his death. He had been in ill health for three years and was lovingly cared for by his family. He will be missed by his many friends and numerous relatives who survive him. Funeral services were held at the Union church in Stanley on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. F. C. Witzigman, pastor of the Grace Methodist church in Oelwein, officiating. Interment was made in the family lot in Stanley cemetery. Pallbearers were James Richards of Fayette, Wayne Jewell and Clarence Parker of Aurora, Frank Ingamells, George Hill and Luther Wetzel of Stanley; Sarah Campbell and Mrs. Florence Maley sang.
