Description	:	Alonzo F. Guzinski, 92, of Loup City, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at the Rose Lane Home in Loup City. Mr. Guzinski was born on July 6, 1917, on the family farm southwest of Ashton, near Rockville, the son of Vincent and Helen (Brezinski) Guzinski. He was united in marriage to Mary H. Mr. Guzinski was born on July 6, 1917, on the family farm southwest of Ashton, near Rockville, the son of Vincent and Helen (Brezinski) Guzinski. He was united in marriage to Mary H. Kuffel on Aug. 4, 1947, at Ashton. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard P. "Rich" Guzinski on Dec. 7, 1997. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Loup City; one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Beverly Guzinski of Tekamah; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Sam Kuszak and Marge and Corwin Bauhard, all of Loup City. He also leaves to cherish his memory, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Alonzo attended Sherman County rural schools and farmed with his father. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving from May 14, 1943 until his honorable discharge on Jan. 14, 1946. Upon his discharge he returned to Sherman County. He and Mary lived their entire married life in Loup City, where he worked for the State of Nebraska Department of Roads for 37 years until his retirement. He coached baseball for many years in Loup City, having coached at every level from Pee Wees to Town Teams. He was a member of St. Josaphat's Catholic Church, American Legion and VFW, all of Loup City. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid gardener. In addition to his son, Rich, he was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Ben, Pete, Stanley, John, Harry, August & Paul Guzinski; and five sisters, Billie Jakob, Agnes Pyle, Anna Rein, Jeanne Czaplewski and Mary Guzinski.
