Description	:	Alta Euphema Irwin, daughter of John and Nettie Canady was born on Dec. 20, 1892 in Greene County, Iowa and completed the course of this life on Sept. 18 at Loring Care Center in Sac City, Iowa. She was united in marriage with Frank D. Irwin on Christmas Day, 1913 at Lake View. To them were born three daughters, Ruth, Eloise and Lois. She lived on the farm southwest of Sac City until they moved into Sac City 26 years ago. Alta was a member of the United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Eastern Star.... She was united in marriage with Frank D. Irwin on Christmas Day, 1913 at Lake View. To them were born three daughters, Ruth, Eloise and Lois. She lived on the farm southwest of Sac City until they moved into Sac City 26 years ago. Alta was a member of the United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Eastern Star. She cherished her many friends and especially enjoyed young people. She taught Sunday School in the Pleasant Hill Church for many years. She had been in failing health for the past five years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and one great-grandson, Joshua Kolbe. Survivors include her daughters (Ruth) Mrs. George Kolbe of Lake View, (Eloise) Mrs. Max Jarnagin of Sac City and (Lois) Mrs. Kermit Chapman of Early; 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. John McCallum at the United Methodist Church in Sac City on Sept. 21 at 10:30 a.m. Pall bearers were her grandsons, Jack Kolbe, Merle McCrea, Larry Kolbe, Dick Chapman, Jim Jarnagin and Bill Kolbe. Flower committee was Vivian Willcutt, Lola Fluth, Emma Swanson and Marjo's. Interment was at the Wall Lake Cemetery.
