Soloist at the service was George Glass. He was accompanied by Mrs. Dean Marshall. Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Vivian Willcutt, Mrs. Richard fluth, Mrs. Ernest Swanson and Leonards. Attendants were Jack Kolbe, Merle McCrea, Dick Chapman, Larry Kolbe, Jim Jarnagin and Bill Kolbe. The body was laid to rest in the Wall Lake Cemetery at Wall Lake, with Masonic Graveside Services conducted by Occidental Lodge No. 178, Sac City. Frank Delos Irwin, son of Charles and Sarah Crozier Irwin, was born on a farm in Clinton Township, Sac County, Iowa, on September 18, 1892 and passed away very suddenly while fishing on Gar Lake in Dickinson County, Iowa on May 24. 1967. On December 25, 1913 he was united in marriage to Alta E. Canady of Lake View. To this union was born three daughters, Ruth, Mrs. George Kolbe of Lake View; Eloise, Mrs. Max Jarnagin of Sac City; and Lois, Mrs. Kermit Chapman of Early. Their married life was spent on the farm southwest of Sac City until January of 1951 when they retired to their present home in Sac City. Frank farmed for 37 years, 19 of these years were spent in partnership with his brother, Lew. He was a member of the Methodist Church attending the Pleasant Hill Church as long as it was active and then transferring his membership to the First Methodist Church in Sac City. He joined the Masonic Lodge in 1925 and was an active member. For many years he served on the Sac County Fair Board and was also a past director of the Farm Loan Association. He was a charter member of the Sac County Farm Bureau. After moving to Sac City he enjoyed working at the ASCS Office part time. In 1963 "Open House" for their 50th Wedding Anniversary was held. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, J. Roy. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Alta, the three daughters and their husbands, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, one sister, Edna and three brothers, George, Lew and Orla, other relatives and many friends. He was a loving husband and father deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. His life centered around his family, especially his grandchildren.
