LaBerta M Bruett Richard H ---------- Mrs. Frank Andre Dies at Age 75 Mrs. Frank (Alta) Andre, 75, died today about 5 a.m. in Holy Family Hospital, her death attributed to infirmities of advanced age. Mrs. Andre had been in failing health for about four years. The former Alta Ramsey was born April 20, 1892, at Dedham in Carroll County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ramsey. She received her education in the Manning schools and was married April 4, 1915, to James Franklin Andre at Manning. Mr. and Mr. Andre moved to Emmet County in 1916 and live on a farm southwest of Estherville until 1936 when they retired and moved to Estherville. After moving here Mr. Andre engaged in the carpenter business until his retirement. He died in 1958. Mrs. Andre was a member of the Estherville Christian Church, the Service Star Legion and the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by three sons, Richard of Des Moines, Wayne and Merle both of Estherville; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. John (Edith) Lamack of Estherville and Mrs. Ira Smith of Rock Falls, Ill.; and two brothers, Lyle and Forest Ramsey, both of Estherville. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son, Delbert, who died in 1932, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Christian Church, Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Superior Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Sunday at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Monday, at which time the casket will be taken to the church.
