Description	:	Alvina Caroline Larsen, daughter of Ernst and Anna (Grummert) Schiermeyer, was born October 16, 1910, on a farm north of Superior, Nebraska. She passed away Wednesday, April 29, 1998, in Fresno, California, at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 13 days. She spent her youth in Nuckolls County until her marriage to William J. Read More	Alvina Caroline Larsen, daughter of Ernst and Anna (Grummert) Schiermeyer, was born October 16, 1910, on a farm north of Superior, Nebraska. She passed away Wednesday, April 29, 1998, in Fresno, California, at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 13 days. She spent her youth in Nuckolls County until her marriage to William J. Larsen on December 30, 1936. Together they lived on farms in several Nebraska communities: Carroll, Laurel, Madison and Ruskin. In 1960, she moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where she worked as a food server until her retirement in 1973. At that time she returned to Superior where she resided until August of 1997. At the time of her death, she was residing with a daughter in Fresno, California. Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, John and Erwin; one sister, Elaine; her husband; and an infant daughter, Wilma. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Clinton (Mary Ann) Pusey of Fresno, California, Mrs. Warren (Karen) Bowlin of McMinnville, Oregon, and Ellen Stansbury of Haysville, Kansas; one son, James of Sierra Vista, Arizona; two sisters, Bertha Schiermeyer and Mrs. Martin (Esther) Spring, both of Superior, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Friday, May 8, 1998, at 2 p.m., at Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska, with Rev. Lance Clay officiating. Music will be "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden", with Arlet Schiermeyer as soloist and Carlita Price as organist. Interment will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Superior, Nebraska. Pallbearers are Eldrick Grummert, Vernon Grummert, Glen Schiermeyer, Gerald Schiermeyer, Michael James and Daniel Carley. Honorary bearers are Larry McCord and Frank Sullivan.
