Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Armund (Alvina) Schley, 76, of Stratford, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stratford with the Rev. Wm. Paepke officiating. Burial was in East Rondell Cemetery with Huebl Funeral Chapel in charge of the arrangements. Miss Jane Erdmann was organist and Harold Breitag of Aberdeen was soloist. Ushers were Steven Rossow and Jerry Schley. Casketbearers were LaVerne Schley, Clarence Schley, Berlin Stange, Richard Rossow, Lloyd Jark, all of Stratford; and Delbert Schley, Selby. Alvina Emilie Erdmann was born March 26, 1901, to Joseph and Minnie Adams Erdman at Frazee, Minn. She moved with her family to a homestead in Harding County, South Dakota, where she attended rural school. She was married to Armund T. Schley October 20, 1923, at Ralph, and they made their home on their farm east of Stratford. Her husband died January 1, 1971, and she continued to live on the farm until December, 1974, when she moved to Stratford until her health failed in 1975. Since then she has resided at Americana Health Care Center and then Bethesda Home in Aberdeen, where she passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 24. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stratford, a charter member of the church’s Ladies Aid and a member of the Stratford Senior Citizens. She is survived by two sons, Wayne of Stratford and Marvin of Aberdeen; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Elvera) Peterson of Groton, Mrs. Norman (Evelyn) Brick of Aberdeen and Arlene Schley of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. August (Emma) Bugner of Aberdeen, Mrs. Roy (Elsie) McFarland of Hettinger, N.D., and Mrs. Ralph (Clara) Anderson of Buffalo; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and one brother.
