Description	:	Funeral services for Armund T. Schley, 78, Stratford, were held Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Stratford. Rev. Melbourne Helling officiated and burial was in the East Rondell Cemetery. Mr. Schley died Friday, Jan 1 at Dakota Midland Hospital. Music was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sueltz, duet, singing, “Nearer My God to Thee,” and “Abide With Me.” Ushers were Clarence Schley, Alvin VonWald, Lloyd Jark and Dennis Rossow. Mr. Schley was bonr Jan. 10, 1892 on his father’s homestead near Stratford, where he lived his entire life. He married Alvina Erdman at Ralph Oct. 20, 1923. He was a lifelong resident of the Stratford area, and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He served on the local school board, East Rondell Cemetery Board and was a member of various farm organizations. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Wayne, of Stratford, and Marvin, of Aberdeen; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Elvera) Peterson, Groton; Mrs. Norman (Evelyn) Brick, Aberdeen, and Arlene Schley, Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
