Read More	The Hebron Journal-Register, Hebron, NE), Thursday, April 9, 1925; pg. 1 County Court Notes The following business has been transacted in the county court: Ernest Eitsman (sic), and Miss Amanda Peters of Byron secured a marriage license Tuesday, April 7. ====================== The Telescope (Belleville, KS), Thursday, September 29, 1994; pg. 11 Amanda Maria Wilhelmine (sic) Eitzmann, daughter of Fred and Maria Meyer Peters, was born August 21, 1902 on a farm north of Byron, Neb., and died September 23, 1994 at the Lutheran Home in Belleville at the age of 92 years, one month and two days. She was baptized in St. Peter's Church, rural Byron, on August 31, 1902 by Pastor O. Lompe. She attended Byron public schools and received her Christian education at St. Paul's Lutheran Church School where she was confirmed on April 1, 1917 by Pastor F.H. Vetter. She lived her entire life in the Byron community. She was united in marriage to Ernest A. Eitzmann on April 19, 1925 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor R. Wagner officiating. To this union four children were born. She worked as a switchboard operator for her father's telephone company and as a clerk for Wurl and Eggers and Portwood General Stores. She taught Sunday school and Bible school at St. Paul's for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest, sons Myron and Arland, daughter Florence, brother Henry, sisters Emma Louise and Alida Maria, and two grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Dorthy Fischer of Byron, three granddaughters and one great-grandson. Services were held Tuesday, September 27, 1994 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Byron with Pastor Walter Laughlin officiating. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery of Byron.
