Gibbons Assembly of the Fourth Degree and the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks. He was married to Margaret Ann Boos on May 14, 1946 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include five sons, Ron Artzer and John Artzer, both of Topeka, Bud Artzer, Meriden, Randy Boos, Groten, Conn., and Conrad Boos, Overbrook; a daughter, Judy Deghand, Topeka; a brother, John Artzer Jr., Topeka; three sisters, Barbara Herman, Albuqwuerque, N.M., Mary Lou Ziegler, Topeka, and Ruth Ann Hueser, Omaha, Neb.; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Artzer will lie in state after 2 p.m. Sunday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. and a Third and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Church, 312 S.E.
