Description	:	Friends were deeply saddened when news arrived Wednesday, Oct. 26, of the death of Mrs. F. L. Blader, 73, at the Aberdeen hospital, where she had been a patient for a week. Mrs. Blader was in ill health for the past three months. Amelia A. Rugotzka was born at Fall Creek, Wis., on February 20, 1882. On December 3, 1899, she was united in marriage to Fred L. Blader, coming to Groton shortly afterward to make their home, and where they have since resided. To this union seven children were born. Two daughters preceded their mother... Mrs. Blader was in ill health for the past three months. Amelia A. Rugotzka was born at Fall Creek, Wis., on February 20, 1882. On December 3, 1899, she was united in marriage to Fred L. Blader, coming to Groton shortly afterward to make their home, and where they have since resided. To this union seven children were born. Two daughters preceded their mother in death. Mrs. Adeline Rod and Violet, who passed away in infancy. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church with the Rev. Harvey Sander conducting the service. Mrs. Harvey Sander and Mrs. Roland Pharis sang, “In the “"Garden,” “Ivory Palaces” and “One Sweetly Solemn Thought,” accompanied by Mrs. Richard Mylin at the organ. Pall bearers were: W. J. Paetznick, Ewald Kuehnert, L. E. Schinkel, Algot Johnson, Wm. Heitman and Vance E. Miller. Interment was in the Groton cemetery. Surviving besides her husband are a son, Milton, of Minneapolis, Minn.; four daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Mabel) Roy, Huron; Miss Jeanette, New York City, and Misses Myrtle and Margaret at home; also five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The departed was a member of the Methodist church and W. S. C. S. She was a very loving and devoted wife and mother, taking a keen interest in her family and home. Her Christian spirit, outstanding personality and general outlook of life, known to all who knew her, will be a lasting memory of their highly esteemed departed friend. Deep sympathy is extended to the family and relatives in the loss of their loved one. Relatives from a distance attending the last rites were: Mr. and Mrs.Milten Blader, Robert Blader and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Blader of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Roy, Huron; Miss Jeanette Blader, New York City; Ernest Rod, Waverly, Iowa; Miss Joan Rod, Fairmont, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rod of Iowa City, Iowa Published in the Groton Independent November 3, 1955
