Description	:	Funeral services for Fred L. Blader, 83, Groton retired contractor, were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m., at the Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Nielsen conducting the service. A male quartet, S. E. Windh,, Don Levsen, Maurice Olson and Randall Hall, Jr., sang “Ivory Palaces” and “Beyond the Sunset.” Mrs. Robert Wegner was organist. Burial was in the Groton cemetery. Mr. Blader passed away at his home in Groton, Wenesday, Nov. 25, 1959. He is survived by one son, Milton, Minneapolis; four daughters, Mrs. Ralph Roy, Huron; Margaret and Myrtle Blader, Groton;; and Jeanette Blader, New York City; and by five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two daughters, two sisters and three brothers. Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the last rites were: Mr. and Mrs. Milton Blader, Robert Blader and Don Fowler, Minneapolis; Jeanette Blader, New York City; Mrs. Harold Engquist, Fairmount, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Rod, Waverly, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Roy, Huron; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hicks, Watertown; Yla Bingham, Minneapolis; Mrs. Paul Kuechler, Mrs. H. D. Webb, Mrs. Clarence Swenson, Frank Weebon, Herb Olson, Al Donahue, Mrs. A. F. Pansegrau, Aberdeen and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pence, Frederick. Published in the Groton Independent December 3, 1959
