Adolph Lillich was in charge of the services and burial was in Greenwood cemetery. Amelia Scheer was born May 12, 1886 at Bazile Mills and passed away at the Kimball County hospital in Kimball Tuesday noon, Sept. 26 at the age of 64 years. She was united in marriage to Seibert Ickler August 27, 1902. One son, Willis, was born to this union. Mrs. Ickler was for many years a member of the Lutheran church. In recent years she held membership in the Presbyterian church of which her son is pastor and was a member of that church at the time of her death. She was an active worker in the women's work of the church and in Woman's club at Wayne. As a girl her home was at Bazile Mills and Creighton. After a period of homesteading in Pennington county, S.D., the Icklers moved to Wayne and were residents for 23 years. They spent a short time in Three Forks, Mont. with their son after Mr. Ickler's retirement. They came to live with their son and his wife at Kimball in Sept. 1947. Mrs. Ickler had been ill for several years and had suffered a stroke in 1948 which had left her semi-invalid. Death came quietly as the result of high blood pressure and other complications. Services were held at the First Presbyterian church in Kimball on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. D.E. Littrell in charge, after which the body was sent to Creighton. Surviving are her son, Rev. W.S. Ickler of Kimball, two grandsons; sisters, Mrs. Tonie Melcher of Scottsbluff, Mrs. Louise Rose of Rapid City, S.D., Mrs. Arend Huseman and Mrs. Charles Iauch; brothers, Richard Scheer of Greeley, Colo. and Wm F., John and Fred Scheer of Creighton.
