Read More	Married Aug 25 1879 Austria-Hungary ---------------------------- Amelia Theresa Brachtel was born in Sumvald, Austria Hungary, May 30, 1857, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James McBeth, at four o'clock, Sunday afternoon, Jan. 5, 1930; having arrived at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 5 days. She was united in marriage to Frank J. Blaschke on Aug. 25, 1879, and to this happy union six children were born. They departed from the old country on October 18, 1888 and came to the United States, arriving at Belwood, Nebraska, where they resided for three years. Later they moved to Polk county where they lived until 1904, when they moved to Loup City. Mrs. Blaschke was preceded in death by her beloved husband, who departed this life on Jan. 3, 1916. She leaves to mourn her death the six children: Mrs. James McBeth, Loup City, Nebr.; Frank Blaschke, Thermopolis, Wyo.; Mrs. H.C. Squier, Sargent, Nebr.; John C. Blake, Haxtun, Colo.; Mrs. J.W. Foy, Rock Springs, Wyo.; and Mrs. Irvin Bartling, Greeley, Colo. Also 22 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Blaschke was a woman of decided and fervent religious convictions. Throughout a long and varied life, she proved the realtiy and value of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Master, and in death leaves abundant testimony of the value of a Christian character and of deeds wrought for the good of others. She early sought opportunity to make early confession of her faith and united with the German Evangelical church, with which organization she remained in fellowship until the times of her passing. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon. A short service at 1:30, conducted by Rev. Birmingham of the Methodist church, marked the leave-taking of her home. At 2:00 o'clock a short service was held at her church with Rev. J. Ruhl in charge. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery with the Reverends Birmingham and Ruhl officiating.
