Anderson. He attended Rockville Academy before entering Princeton Unviersity in 1891. Anderson graduated from Princeton with a B.S. degree in 1895, and E.E. (Electrical Engineering) in 1897. Anderson. He attended Rockville Academy before entering Princeton Unviersity in 1891. Anderson graduated from Princeton with a B.S. degree in 1895, and E.E. (Electrical Engineering) in 1897. He married Marie Josephine Haydie Druilhet in New Orleans, LA on Dec. 12, 1900. Anderson's two children, both born in New Orleans are Anderson Offutt, Jr., born Oct. 8, 1902, and Joseph Lee Offutt, born July 18, 1906. In 1906, Anderson Offutt gave his home address as: 634 Gravirn (?) St., New Orleans, LA As an undergraduate at Princeton, Anderson was a member of the St. Paul's Society and in sophomore year was the winner of a pole-vault prize in the Caledonian Games. Following graduation with a B.S. in 1895, he attended the Princeton Electrical Engineering School, receiving the degree of E.E. in 1897. He then formed a partnership with classmate James E. Hayes and James D. Remsen (PU 1893), under the firm name Offutt, Remsen & Hayes, electrical engineers and contractors. The firm was dissolved in 1899 when Anderson Offutt undertook electrical inspection work for an association of insurance companies, traveling for a year throughout the Southeastern States. Following his marriage, he established, in 1901, an inspection agency in New Orleans to render service to local insurance companies. The business was later extended throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. In 1905 he acted as Electrical Contractor and Engineer, specializing in the installation of municipal lighting and power plants. In 1915, Anderson Offutt joined the staff of the New Jersey Zinc Co., of which his former partner, James E. Hayes, was then Vice-President and General Manager. He was associated with that company as Engineer and Chief of Service and Maintenance at the Palmerton, PA plant until his death in New York City on May 4, 1919 after only a few days' illness of pneumonia.
