Description	:	Andrew Johnston was born near Columbia City, May 2, 1852, and passed away at his home in Albion, December 28,1924, Age 72 years, seven months and 26 days. His parents were James and Rachael Johnston and he was one of a family of 12 children all of whom , except for two brothers, with the parents have preceded him in death. Read More	Andrew Johnston was born near Columbia City, May 2, 1852, and passed away at his home in Albion, December 28,1924, Age 72 years, seven months and 26 days. His parents were James and Rachael Johnston and he was one of a family of 12 children all of whom , except for two brothers, with the parents have preceded him in death. The two brothers are Isaiah and George. In 1874 he was married to Catherine Rhoades with whom he lived to celebrate their Golden anniversay on October 22, 1924. They were given 10 children. Edgar, Charles and Martha are dead. Those surviving are :Olive Hile, Mrs. Ellen Campbell, Mrs. Elsie Vanderford, Mrs. Fanny Moore, Alfred C., William and Gladys, at home. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. For many years he lived near Ormas, where he was well and favorably known, and today his loved ones and friends mourn the loss of a loving husband, kind father and good friend. He has been an invalid and a great sufferer for several years being almost helpless and a great charge to those in his home. But he bore it with fortitude and never gave up to die until the day before the end came. After a few hours, of unconsciousness he slept away peacefully on Sunday morning. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Ormas, conducted by Rev. R. W. Paige and assisted bgy Rev. Bair. Interment was made in the Thorne cemetery.
