Read More	The following provided by Find a Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 6 June 1928 Andrew McCormick Called to The Great Beyond Fort Benton lost one of its most highly respected and honored citizens on Monday when death summoned Mr. Andrew McCormick, who has been in poor health for the past year or more and bedfast since last November. Death was due to infirmities of old age. Mr. McCormick moved to Fort Benton with his family from Inverness in 1917 and has since resided in this city where he has made a host of friends who will mourn his passing. Mr. McCormick was born in County Cavan, Ireland, on Jan. 3, 1847, and was about 81 years and five months of age at the time of his death. He came to the United States 62 years ago and settled in Clinton county, Iowa, he being one of the old pioneers of that state. He resided in Clinton county for ten years, and removed to Walnut, Iowa, where he lived for 22 years, and in northwestern Iowa for five years. He came to Montana in 1914 settling near Inverness where his daughters took up homesteads. He was married in 1874 to Susie Nolan at Lyons, Iowa, and to this union seven children were born, all of whom with the mother survive him. They are: James N., Bridgewater, S. D.; Charles A., Oklahoma City; John P., of Pueblo, Colo.; Thomas F., Fort Benton; Mrs. Anna Adams, of Brinkman, Mont.; and Misses Mary L. and Jennie E., of this city. There are also left to mourn his passing 15 grandchildren one of whom, Miss Ruth Adams, has made her home in this city with the family for several years. Mr. McCormick was a devout member of the Catholic church and always lived a life in keeping with his religion. Funeral services will be held from the Catholic church in this city on Friday morning at 9 o'clock and will be conducted by the Rev. Fr. Finucane. Interment will be made in Riverside cemetery. The family have the sincere sympathy of all in their bereavement.
