Description	:	OBITUARY Andrew T. Hansen was born April 5, 1850 near Copenhagen, Denmark and passed away on August 16, 1939 at his home in Arthur, at the age of 89 years 4 months and 11 days. He came to the United States at the age of 19 and settled at Kewanna, Illinois. He moved to Nebraska in 1882. Here on January 27, 1886 he was united in marriage to May Riley. He came to the United States at the age of 19 and settled at Kewanna, Illinois. He moved to Nebraska in 1882. Here on January 27, 1886 he was united in marriage to May Riley. On January 27, 1936 they celebrated the golden wedding anniversary. He was the father of 13 children, three by a former marriage. Two children Alta Johnson and Hayes Hansen preceded him in death. Surviving him are his wife, May Hanson of Arthur, Lillian Cheuvrolet, of Denver, Mrs. E. J. Addington of Chadron, Walter A. of Deadwood, Elmer O of Cody, Wyoming, Winnie A. of Chloride, Arizona, Wesley C. of Hot Springs, South Dakota, Jess L. of Chloride, Arizona and Henry L. of North Platte. In early life Mr. Hansen was confirmed in the Christian faith and was true to that profession all of his long life. The funeral service, which was very largely attended was held in Arthur on Sunday, August 28 with Rev. Merle Coen officiating. All but two of his children were present and Interment was in the local cemetery.
