Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 23 May 1951 Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Lawrence Granger Funeral services for Mrs. Lawrence Granger, who passed away at the St. Clare hospital on last Wednesday morning, a few hours after an automobile accident, were held Saturday. The accident, which also claimed the life of Sgt. Reno Russell, of the east base, and injured three others, happened at the curve at the airport, when the car in which they were riding failed to make the curve and turned over several times. Angela Rose Eloff was born in Fort Benton, Feb. 26, 1931, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Eloff of the Pleasant Valley area. She attended school in this city. On June 14, 1945, she was united in marriage to Lawrence (Larry) Granger who had come to this city from New York state five years prior. In Sept. 1946 he went into service with the army air corps and was dismissed in Feb. 1947. Mrs. Granger continued to make her home here during his absence. He was recalled to service with the marine corps Nov. 20, 1950 and is stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif. Mrs. Granger had recently been employed at St. Clare hospital. Larry reached here Thursday on leave from Camp Pendleton. Two children survive, Steven Eugene and Diana Marie; the husband; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Eloff; a sister, Mrs. James Zanto of Square Butte; and a brother, Larry Eloff; the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Wolf, Sr. Funeral services were held at the Immaculate Conception church Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Fr. Patasius, and were attended by many neighbors from out of town. Friends of the Pleasant Valley area who wanted to help in this time of need also went into the Eloff fields and plowed for him. Larry is to return to Pendleton May 31st, but he hopes to receive a discharge soon so that he may return here to take care of his family.
