Description	:	SMITH, ANNA A. ANNIE--Anna Barnett was born at Springfield, Ill., November 10, 1859. She passed to the life beyond at her home in Geneva, Neb., Friday, December 19, 1941, aged 82 years, 1 month and 19 days. When a small child, the deceased came to Nebraska with her parents, who located in York county, later moving to Fillmore county, and had resided here ever since. She was married to John A. ANNIE--Anna Barnett was born at Springfield, Ill., November 10, 1859. She passed to the life beyond at her home in Geneva, Neb., Friday, December 19, 1941, aged 82 years, 1 month and 19 days. When a small child, the deceased came to Nebraska with her parents, who located in York county, later moving to Fillmore county, and had resided here ever since. She was married to John A. Smith September 15, 1884. To this union were born ten children, four of whom preceded her in death, two in infancy: Fred in 1908 and Elizabeth Lockard in 1924. Mr. Smith preceded her in death in 1932. Those surviving are Albert of Garneill, Mont., Willis of Paola, Kas., Walter of Superior, Mrs. Edna Conn of Fort Benton, Mont., Mrs. Maude Hawkinson of Hillsboro, Ore., Mrs. Zella Lowe of Fairmont, Neb., and Edmund at home; also fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Geneva United Brethren church, the W. C. T. U., the Gleaners Club, and the West Side Improvement club. She was a devoted mother and a friend to her neighbors. She had a pleasing personality and was loved by all who knew her. Gone is a life that will be an inspiration and a blessed memory to her family. The funeral was held at the United Brethren church at 2 p. m. Monday, December 22, the pastor, Rev. Glenn Cain officiating. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
