ANNA CONVEY DIES SUDDENLY The sudden death of Mrs. Anna Convey occured last Friday afternoon at the local hospital where she was confined following a very serious operation, from which it was thought she was recovering until shortly before death came to relieve her of her suffering. Mrs. Convey had not been in the best of health this winter and she finally submitted to an examination which revealed that her physical condition was very serious and that an immediate operation was necessary. This she submitted to the forepart of the week and while it was known that she was in a very critical condition for several days, her recovery was thought assured until a turn for the worse set in and she passed away Friday. Mrs. Convey had made her home in Murdo for a few years, coming here with her daughter, Mrs. Paul Nehrenberg, from Draper where the family formerly resided. She was a lady of about 56 years of age and was able to be about town and take care of her work all winter and her friends are certainly grieved at her death. Deceased is survived by but two children, Mrs. Paul Nehrenberg of Rapid City and a son, James Convey of Draper. She was the mother of two other children who passed away in infancy. Funeral services over the remains of Mrs. Convey were held Monday afternoon this week, the body being taken to Draper that day by Untertaker M.E. Sorenson, accompanied by a large number of Murdo people, Mostly members of Eastern Star, who assisted in the services of paying the last respects to the departed lady. The funeral services were held from the M.E. Church in Draper, Rev. B.I. Hubbard , of Kennebec, formerly Methodist minister of Draper, being in charge at the church service and delivered the sermon and the local chapter of the Eastern Star conducted the burial services at the grave. Mrs. Convey was one of the most devoted members of this order and it was seldom that she ever missed a meeting regardless of the weather conditions or other things that might keep one from regular attendance, and it was her widh that the Star have charge of her funeral. Those who acted as pallbearers at the funeral were C.C. Cline, Jay C. Babcock, R.G. Litzenberg, Albert J. Gurthrie, Jr., Edgar Blodgett and B.D. Morrison. Mrs. Convey's death is mourned by a large cirle of friends and acquaintance and all join in extending condolance to the daughter and son in their bereavement.
