Description	:	Dayton Review March 2, 1916 Obituary Anna Charlotta Westring was born in Molenda Forsamling, Sweden, January 30, 1841, and died at her home in Dayton, Iowa, February 23, 1916, aged 75 years, 23 days. She grew to young womanhood in the land of her birth, and was there married to Carl Erick Peterson, June 7th, 1861. He preceded her to the Land Beyond July 1, 1910. Read More	Dayton Review March 2, 1916 Obituary Anna Charlotta Westring was born in Molenda Forsamling, Sweden, January 30, 1841, and died at her home in Dayton, Iowa, February 23, 1916, aged 75 years, 23 days. She grew to young womanhood in the land of her birth, and was there married to Carl Erick Peterson, June 7th, 1861. He preceded her to the Land Beyond July 1, 1910. They came to this country in 1865, settling at Andover, Ill., and from thence to Dayton in 1867. Soon afterwards they moved to the farm near Burnside, where most of their active life was spent. In the spring of 1894, she and her husband moved to Dayton to spend their declining years, and there they lived until their death. She was the mother of four children, three sons and a daughter. A foster daughter, Mrs. Mabel Kelley of Manning, was reared from childhood being taken to their home when she was about a year and a half old. She and one son, John A. Peterson of Burnside township, remain to mourn the death of a devoted mother. She is also mourned by a sister and two brothers. Mrs. Peterson was reared in the Lutheran church in Sweden, and on coming here became a charter member of the Lutheran Church at Dayton, helping to build up the congregation and their building. She was a faithful Christian, and died in the faith of her Master. Her funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the Lutheran Church, Rev. Kron, her pastor, conducting the services, and her remains were laid to rest beside those of her husband in Dayton cemetery. So passes another of Webster County's pioneers. Mrs. Peterson and her husband were hardy workers of the early day, and their privations were by no means fruition of their labors, in the splendid country the grew out of the prairies. A person of sturdy character, Mrs. Peterson was respected by all who knew her, and a host of lifelong friends of the family sympathize with them in the bereavement.
