Description	:	Anna Cox, daughter of Nancy and John Cox, was born in Bellemont County, Ohio, March 13, 1839; departed this life March 21, 1920, at the age of 81 years and eight days. April, 1857, she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Hamilton, who preceded her to the Great Beyond March 12, 1907. To this union were born ten children, five of whom passed away while yet in childhood, thus giving her a perfect assurance of their inheritance to the Kingdom of God. Read More	Anna Cox, daughter of Nancy and John Cox, was born in Bellemont County, Ohio, March 13, 1839; departed this life March 21, 1920, at the age of 81 years and eight days. April, 1857, she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Hamilton, who preceded her to the Great Beyond March 12, 1907. To this union were born ten children, five of whom passed away while yet in childhood, thus giving her a perfect assurance of their inheritance to the Kingdom of God. She often spoke of the happy meeting when she would go to meet her dear companion and five little ones on the other Shore. It was thru the giving up of one of these little ones that she turned to the Lord, who is ever a present help in time of trouble , and took up her cross to follow her Savior, whom she faithfully served for more than fifty years. Years ago, while young in life and strong in the spirit, she was a great worker in the church, often going to work and having a great revival where others thought it impossible, thus winning many precious souls for the Kingdom and adding many stars in her crown. During her sickness, she was never heard to murmur or complain, only asking that God's will be done, and saying she was ready and anxious to go home whenever her Heavenly Father thought best to call her. Only a few days before she passed to her reward, while talking with loved ones of her departure from this life, one made the remark that they could not give her up: she answered, "Your loss is my gain, and tell those I do not see here any more that I'll be waiting for them on the other Shore". She leaves to mourn their loss two daughters and three sons: Mrs. R. Hysell, New Marshfield; Mrs. Henry Todd, Nelsonville; John E., of Charleston, W. Va; Garrison J., Middleport, Ohio, and T. Franklin, of Athens, Ohio; two brothers, 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, also a host of relatives and friends. She was a kind and loving Mother, always looking on the bright side and ready to speak a kind word or do a kind deed. By her kind and loving disposition, she made friends with everybody.
