"D" of the 194th OVI during the Civil War from 02-15-1865 to 05-30-1865. VETERAN DIES NELSONVILLE, May 8 --- Nelson Cox, 78, died Friday night at his home at Logan. He was a veteran of the Civil War . Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the New Marshfield Methodist church. Burial will be made at New Marshfield. He leaves his wife, three sons and one daughter. Harry Cox, of Nelsonville, is a son. *** Nelson Headley Cox and his wife Mary also had a son named Frank McKinley Cox born 24 JUL 1893.
