Description	:	Funeral services were held on Monday, January 2 at 10:30 a.m., in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bowbells, for Mrs. Anna Funk, age 90, who died on December 29th in Minot. Fr. Eugene Frank conducted the Mass of Christian Burial with Gwen Lorenz as organist. Casketbearers were Hal Ross, Jeff Ross, Dean Durick, Raymond Donahue, Greg Mertes and David Peterson. Interment was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Bowbells, with Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Anna Hondl was born Nov. 5, 1893 at Albany, Minn., a daughter of John and Emelia Hondl. She was reared there and married Mathias Funk Jan. 29, 1918, at Albany. Shortly thereafter, they came to the Bowbells area where they farmed. He died Aug. 27, 1966. She lived in the Bowbells area until February 1973, when she moved to the Americana Healthcare Center in Minot. She was a member of St. Joseph's church and the church altar society. Survivors include her sons, Leo and Arnold, daughters, Florence Funk and Eleanor Olson, all Bowbells; 13 grand-children and six great-grandchildren. From The Kenmare News
