Born March 22, 1931, in Grantsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Roy W. and Edna (Maust) Beitzel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ira O. Born March 22, 1931, in Grantsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Roy W. and Edna (Maust) Beitzel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ira O. "Tip" Yaste; two brothers, Cleland and Leon Beitzel; one sister, Hilda Beitzel; one step-daughter, Kathryn Glotfelty. Mrs. Yaste was a Supervisor of Medical Assistance Programs for the Garrett Co. Department of Social Services and received her Associate degree from Garrett College. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Bittinger Firemen's Auxiliary. She is survived by two step-sons, Richard (Caroline) Yaste, Honor, MI; Robert Yaste, Accident; one brother, Mayard Beitzel, Allensville, PA; one sister, Wanda Yoder, Bittinger; two step-grandsons, Duane Glotfelty, Denver, CO; Mark Glotfelty, Pittsburgh, PA; two step-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ruth Bullwinkle officiating. Interment will be in the Bittinger Cemetery.
