For seven months this little girl has been ill, the most of the time, being confined to her bed. It being necessary for the mother to be away from home, Mr. Pearson has cared for this little daughter and her brothers and sisters and kept the home together for his flock. He cared for the afflicted one with all the tenderness of mother love and today is mourning because of her department. Anna was born March 6, 1905 and was 9 years 9 months and 10 days old at the time of her death. She was a lovable child and through all her suffering was patient and thoughtful of those who cared for her. The last few nights of her life she was unable to sleep but sang songs that had been taught her at school to pass away the time. The parents and brothers and sisters have the sympathy of the entire community in their sorrow. The funeral services will be held at the home, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial will take place in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The Voice Republican Thursday December 17, 1914 Page 1 Anna Lillian Louise Pearson was born on her father's farm March 6, 1905 and died December 16, 1916. Last spring, she was taken down with inflammatory rheumatism which later settled in her heart causing dropsy. She passed to rest in her father's arms Wednesday morning. She is surprised by her father, mother, five brothers and two sisters. The funeral will be held at her home at ten o'clock in charge of Rev. Myers after which burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The conditions are pretty sad in the Pearson home as the mother is in the hospital while the father has care of this large family with much sickness in addition.
