Leach was held yesterday afternoon at 4'oclock at the Church of God in Englevale. The services were conducted by Rev. J.K. Morgan of Pittsburg. Burial was in the Englevale cemetery. Anna M. Reuther-Leach was born in Germany, June 15, 1836. She died in Englevale, Kas. Aug. 3, 1914, aged 78 yrs, one month and nine days. Her parents died in early childhood. When thirteen yrs old she emigrated to America and joined her brother in Bedford County, Penn. She remained with her brother until her marriage to John A. Leach, Jan. 15, 1856. In 1869 the family came to the west. They remained for short time near harrisonville, MO. In 1872, John Leach moved his family to crawford county, Kans. and settled on a farm south of Englevale. They remained on the "old home farm" until 1906, when the old couple retired. Mr. Leach died Dec. 1913. Mrs. Leach is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J.M. Engle of Englvale, Mrs. W.L. Baysinger of Pittsburg, and Mrs. J.W. Powell of La Veta, Colo. A fourth daughter, Mrs. Sarah Fraser, died about seven year ago. Of recent years, Mrs. Leach had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. W.L. Baysinger, of Pittsburg. She was visiting another daughter at Englevale when her death occured. Mrs. Leach was born and reared a catholic but after marriage she adopted the protestant faith and united with the Church of God. She was stricken with paralysis a little over a week ago while visting at Englevale.
