Talley, 77, died at 10:20 o’clock last night at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. F. Talbert, Muscotah, where she had lived many years. Talley, 77, died at 10:20 o’clock last night at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. F. Talbert, Muscotah, where she had lived many years. Funeral services will be held at 2:30p.m. Monday at the Congregational Church in Muscotah and burial will be in the Netawaka Cemetery. Mrs. Talley was born May 1, 1871, near Atchison, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Terry. She had lived in Muscotah since the death of her husband, the late William Talley, to whom she was married at Holton Oct. 21, 1892. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Talley lived at Ontario, Kans., where he was in the mercantile business; Wetmore and Cimarron, where he dealt extensively in real estate. He died Sept 7, 1917. They had no children but her two sisters and a niece lived in their home many years: Mrs. Talbert, Miss Daise Terry, New York, sisters, and Mrs Walter Winterscheidt, San Sidro, Calif., the niece. Mrs. Talley cared for her aged parents until their death and for a year and a half nursed her brother in-law, J.F. Talbert, who was helpless from a stroke. She was an excellent nurse and a kindly neighbor, always ready to help in time of need. She was active in Congregational church work, having been at the time of her death president of the Excelsior Sunday school class. Besides her sisters and niece, she is survived by four brothers, Claude Terry, Horton; John, Effingham, Virgil, Egan, Ill, and Arthur, Dallas, Texas.
