Description	:	ANNA MARIE WHEELER Anna Marie Wheeler was born May 8, 1913, the fourth child of Charley Taylor and Anna Marie Hedstrom Taylor. Following her mother’s death (Josephine’s sister, Anna Hedstrom Taylor find a grave #42115185), she was adopted at the age of three weeks by her Aunt Josephine Hedstrom Leonard and her husband, Frank Leonard. Funeral services were held March 7, 1992, at 2 p.m. at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca with the Rev. Kevin Glesener officiating. Ann grew up in the Villisca area and attended Villisca High School, graduating with the Class of 1931. She attended Drake and Simpson Colleges and became an elementary school teacher. Ann taught at Grant Public School, Montgomery County, rural schools, Villisca Public Schools, and retired while teaching in the Papillion, Nebraska school system. Ann was married to Thomas K. Wheler, Jr. in 1942, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Earl Taylor and one sister, Doris Daniel. She is survived by one sister, Ruby Vincent of Springfield, Nebraska, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Memorials may be given to the Villisca United Methodist Church.
