Read More	Howard County Herald, St. Paul, NE, October 15 1925: Anna Mary Coufal was born in Colfax County, Nebraska, on December 20, 1881 and passed away on October 10, 1925 at her home near Dannevirke, Nebraska, being at the time of her death 43 years, nine months and 20 days old. She was united in marriage to Charley Klein on April 6, 1904, in St. Paul, Nebraska. To this union eight children were born, two (Hattie Klein and baby girl Klein) having preceded her in death. Mrs. Klein has been in poor health the past three years and at times has suffered untold agony, but bore it all bravely. She has suffered intensely the past eight months and everything that could be done to relieve her and bring her back to her normal health was done by her loving husband and family. Several good doctors have been procured and not a thing left undone that could of made her last day as comfortable as possible. She was a very good woman both at home and among her neighbors and everyone speaks well of her and she will be greatly missed in the home where the little ones need a mothers protecting hand and also among the neighbors. She comes from a well and respected family from this valley. Mr. and Mrs. Klein have spent the greater part of their married lives around here with the exception of nine years which they spent in the western part of the state and have a host of friends and when on Saturday morning the word was passed around that this good woman had finished her life's work and had been called home, a shadow of gloom settled over the community. Just what her trouble was, the family never found out, for sure, but complications of diseases with heart trouble took her away. Funeral services were held Monday from the home at 1 p.m. and at 2:30 from the Lutheran church at Scotia, Nebraska. Rev. Sanders delivering the sermon. Three brothers, John Joe and John Coufal, and three of Mr. Klein's brothers, George, Chris and Will acted as pallbearers. The floral offerings were many and beautiful which only went to show a small portion of the esteem in which she was held. She leaves to mourn her loss a faithful husband, six children, Alta, Chester, Francis, Edward, Floyd and Blanche, and her father, Joseph Coufal and five brothers and three sisters, Joe of Arnold, Frank, John, Paul, Emil, Mrs. Anton Tuma, Mrs. Joe Krchnavy and Barbara Coufal, and 43 nieces and nephews, besides a host of friends who mourn her going. She was laid to rest in the Mount Hope cemetery in Scotia beside her two children there to await those who are left to mourn her loss but what is God's will must be done.
