She married August Duerksen Aug. 18, 1939, at Inman. The couple lived in the rural Hillsboro area until 1985 when they moved to Goessel. He preceded her in death in 1989.Survivors include: three daughters, Janett and husband John S. Wiebe of Newton, Dorothy and husband Dennis Sebes of Hesston and Luetta Duerksen of Wichita; one brother, Henry Penner of Kansas City, Mo.; three half-sisters, Lavina Goering of McPherson, Elda Schrag of North Newton and Velma Unruh...
