KELLER TAKEN BY DEATH Another of the fine pioneer women of this community was called to her eternal reward Sunday afternoon, December 6, at about 4 o'clock when Anna Keller passed away at her home in east Hooper at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 16 days. Mrs. Keller, in spite of her advanced age maintained her home and lived alone until quite recently, died of infirmities incidental to old age following an illness of but ten days. Mrs. Keller was a native of Sweden, having been born at Elvadalen on May 20, 1850. She came to America with her parents in 1864, locating in Omaha until the fall of that year when they took a homestead in Logan Township. She was married to William Keller in 1870 and they resided on their farm northeast of Hooper until 1904 when they came to Hooper to make their home in the house where she passed away. Mrs. Keller was the mother of three children, a son, William, dying at the age of 6 years, and a daughter, Mrs. M. A. Uehling, in 1930. Mr. Keller passed away the following year in 1931. The close surviving relatives are the one daughter, Mrs. A. W. Morrell, of Atkinson, one granddaughter and two grandsons. She is also survived by a brother, P. Peterson, of Omaha, and a sister, Mrs. E. G. Erickson, of Uehling. Mrs. Keller was a quiet, home-loving woman, but the few friends who knew her more intimately and her neighbors all speak highly of her kindness and of her affection for her family. Funeral services will be held this, Thursday, afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at 2 o'clock from Zion Lutheran church with Rev. A. S. Pannbacker in charge. Interment, under the direction of Wollmer & Warne, will be made in Hooper cemetery.
