Although she had been in poor health for the past few years her death was very unexpected. She had been up and around the house Thursday evening, but complained of a severe headache. She went to bed about 10 o’clock and died suddenly during the night. Funeral Monday Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at the home, 922 Bank Street, at 1 o’clock and at 1:30 o’clock at St. Paul’s Lutheran church. The Rev. W. C. Fleischer will officiate and burial will be made in the Blairsburg cemetery. Foster’s in charge. Ann Sophia Dorothea Engelking was born in Apelern, Germany, June 20, 1851. She was baptized in infancy in the Lutheran church, being the eldest of a family of seven children. At the age of three years, in 1854, she was brought to the United States with her parents who settled in Schaumburg, Cook county, Ill. It was there she spent her childhood and received her education in a Lutheran parish (newsprint illegible, a date?). She was also confirmed then. Sept. 10, 1868 she was married to Fred Beisner. Six children were born to this union-Willie, who died in infancy; Caroline, now Mrs. Henry Lutzke of Boulder, Colo., Herman, of Dows; Fred, of this city; John, of Williams, and Martha, now Mrs. Charles Birkholz of Hebron, Neb. Move to Williams In the spring of 1871 the family left Schaumburg and moved to a farm six miles north of Williams, which Mr. Beisner later purchased. In February 1895 they moved to Webster City, making their home on a small acreage in the west part of town. In 1903 they moved into the city and since 1921 they have made their home at 922 Bank Street, the home being built by Mr. Beisner. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, three sons, two daughters, two brothers, Chris Engelking, of Maurell, Alberta, Canada, and Fred Engelking of Doon; one sister, Mrs. Ledendorph (should be Ladendorf), of Spirit Lake; 20 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
