Died at Hospital Mr. Beisner died at the hospital late Saturday afternoon as the result of blood poisoning which followed a blood transfusion, given a week ago, last Wednesday in a futile attempt to save the life of his daughter, Mrs. James Kennedy, who died that afternoon. Mrs. Kennedy had been very ill following the birth of triplet sons Nov. 17. Two of the children died. It was explained that Mr. Beisner went home and changed the dressing himself and did not see a doctor for a 48-hour period. Blood poisoning set in a short time afterward and he grew steadily worse until his death. Mr. Beisner was born Dec. 25, 1873, his parents being Fred Beisner and Anna Sophia Dorothy Engelking. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1888. He was married to Miss Tressa Singer, Jan. 25, 1899. Mrs. Beisner died Sept. 12, 1931, and his mother died in 1932. One brother died in infancy and his daughter, Mrs. Kennedy, died Dec. 11, 1935. The Family Mr. Beisner leaves to mourn his death the following children: Dr. A. F. Beisner, of Muscatine; Mrs. H. J. Dick and Mrs. Earl Fielder, of Webster City, Mrs. Walter Bauer, of Boyd, Minn. There are also the following grandchildren, Harold and Gertrude Fielder, Dorothy and Neva Dick, Patricia Beisner, Wilfred Bauer and Gary Eugene Kennedy, his father, Fred Beisner, Sr., two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Lutz, of this city, and Mrs. Charles Birkholz of Hebron, Neb., and two brothers, Herman Beisner, of Dows, and John C. Beisner, of Sioux City. Mr. Beisner was widely known in this community and his death is a severe shock to his family and his many friends.
