Feller of Christ Methodist church officiating. Mrs. Kucera has been in failing health for some time but, her death came unexpectedly. She was taken ill about 5 o'clock and died about 5.30 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frances Rebik, at Clutier. She was born September 28, 1881, at Chelsea and was the daughter of Mary and Frank Stanek. She was married to Martin Kucera in 1897 and he died in 1920. They were the parents of eight children: Ed of Elberon, William and John of Chelsea, Mrs. Ella Vileta and Frances Rebik of Clutier and Mrs. Anna Bradford of Belle Plaine. Two sons, George M., and Frank W. and one grandson, George William Vileta, preceded her in death. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Mike Ledvina of Chelsea, 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Most of her life was spent on the farm in the communities of Elberon, Clutier and Belle Plaine. Soloist was Dick Gatrelle with Mrs. Marie Christman as accompanist. Pallbearers were grandsons: Otto Kalina, Laverne Junge, Robert Formanek, Lawrence Vileta, Leon Rebik and Marvin Kucera. Interment was in the National cemetery at Vining. Relatives attended the services from Dysart, Clutier, Chelsea, Vining, Tama, and Marengo. Contributor: George (48419540)
