She worked in the home of Joe Ulch, Sr., a Vining merchant, and she was married July 17,1893, in Holy Trinity Church, Otter Creek Town ship, to Joseph F. Pulkrabek who had come from Bohemia to Carroll Township at about age 20, about 1881, with his parents, John and Catherine (Truncova) Pulkrabek, and family. The newlyweds operated his parents'... Pulkrabek who had come from Bohemia to Carroll Township at about age 20, about 1881, with his parents, John and Catherine (Truncova) Pulkrabek, and family. The newlyweds operated his parents' farm in Carroll Township and later their own farm in Perry Township, and retired to Traer in 1922. Joseph died February 20, 1948, and Anna died September 26, 1960, at the Traer Convalescent Home. Both were buried at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Carroll Township, near Clutier. Two children were born to the couple: (a) Marie Anna was born June 17, 1894 and married Wesley John Stepanek October 8, 1912, in Clutier. They farmed in the Traer Waterloo and Toledo areas. Their children were: Agnes Anna, Evelyn Marie, Mary Frances, Charles John and John Frank. Wesley died February 19, 1962, and Marie moved to Toledo after his death. She died at Bethesda Care Center February 5, 1985; both are buried at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Joseph Frank, Jr., was born November 28, 1900. He married Bertha Josephine Rebik September 26, 1922, in Holy Trinity Church, and farmed in Perry Township south of Traer before retiring to Traer. Their children are (1) David Kenneth; (2) John Daniel. Joseph Pulkrabek, Jr., died October 5, 1975, and was buried in St. Paul Cemetery, Traer. by Cecelia N. Scott
