She was born March 19, 1934, in Ney, Ohio, the daughter of Burnell and Hilda (Sanders) Reed. On August 25, 1958, she married Elmer Clinker, who survives. She was a homemaker and a 1952 graduate of Ney High School. She had a bachelor's degree from Huntington College and a master's degree from St. Francis, Fort Wayne, Ind. Clinker, 77, Defiance, Ohio, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Palm Bay Hospital, Palm Bay, Fla. She was born March 19, 1934, in Ney, Ohio, the daughter of Burnell and Hilda (Sanders) Reed. On August 25, 1958, she married Elmer Clinker, who survives. She was a homemaker and a 1952 graduate of Ney High School. She had a bachelor's degree from Huntington College and a master's degree from St. Francis, Fort Wayne, Ind. She was a member of Ney Church of God, taught Bible school for many years and was a member of the church council and Ladies' Friendship Circle. She was a member of Ney Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, Elmer Clinker; two sons, Edward Clinker of Bryan, Ohio, and Dave (Connie) Clinker, Defiance; a daughter, Kathy (Lynn) McCullough, Ligonier, Ind.; two brothers, Donald (Bernie) Reed of Hicksville, Ohio, and Marvin (Sharon) Reed, Ney; a sister, Thelma (Jim) Buchan, New Haven, Ind.; and grandchildren, Daniel, Cassandra and Haley Clinker and Kaitlyn, Cameron, Emily, Evan and Rika McCullough. Preceding her in death were her parents. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Ney Church of God with Revs. Kevin King and Doug Nolt officiating. Burial will be in Moats Cemetery, Defiance County, Ohio. Visitation is from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Monday at Ney Church of God and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Handling arrangements is Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.
