Franklyn Clyde Fross (1890 NE-1976 IL) ----------------------------------------------- Mrs. Anna Oltjenbruns The sad news came from Omaha last Friday that Mrs. Oltjenbruns, wife of Christian Oltjenbruns, had passed away at the Methodist hospital. Mrs. Oltjenbruns illness was of long duration and it had got to the point where an operation was necessary and she was taken to Omaha on the 8th of this month, and on Monday April 10th she was operated on and the case proved to be more complicated than had been expected, but nevertheless she rallied and seemed to improve until last Thursday, and from then on she grew gradually worse until death claimed her Friday afternoon. The deceased was born near Lincoln Nebraska, March 15 1875 and was married to Christian Oltjenbruns February 6 1893. Five children have been born to this union of whom one died in early life, the others, namely, Minnie Louisa, Elsie Ellen, Edna Fay and Herbert Frank are left to mourn with their father in the loss of wife and mother. During the summer following the time of their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Oltjenbrun united in membership with the Methodist Episcopal church. During the years that have lapsed she has been the christian wife and true helper of her husband and giving her Godly influence and life to the development of the character of the children. She has been a loyal and consistent member of the church and always present unless sickness prevented. The family moved to Sherman county about six years ago and located on a farm just south of town. The funeral services were held from the Methodist church last Sunday conducted by the Rev. W. C. Harper and the remains were laid to rest in the Evergreen cemetery. Thus another home which was bound together with the bonds of everything that represents true love has been disturbed. No one but God knows why it should be thus, but it was the Saviors call which we must take granted for the best. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the sorrowing husband and children.
