Although the Fairfield Ledger obituary for George Richardson ( 1919-1890) indicated that he and three other brothers (John, James, and Archibald) were buried "side by side" in the City Cemetery, the only one with a headstone and inscription is George Richardson. It is probable, but not proven by way of cemetery records, that Archibald Richardson is also in or near this family plot, but no headstone found for him. It is certainly possible that they were not provided headstones, but without any further documentation they are not accounted for as confirmed or even within the margin of error that they are buried here. --------------------------- "Fairfield Ledger", May 26, 1886, Pg. 3, Col. 5 Archie RICHARDSON, a well known resident of this county for nearly a third of a century, died at the home of his brother-in-law, David KING, near this city, on Thursday last. He was 72 years of age, and died from old age and general disability. Mr. RICHARDSON was a native of Scotland, and was one of three brothers who came to this county at an early age, only one of whom is now living. Mr. RICHARDSON was twice married, and a wife and two children survive him. His remains were interred in this city Friday. -------- Note: Likely buried in this Richardson family plot, next to his first wife Mary Haddo Richardson.
