Description	:	Ardean Lewis Jeffery was born September 1, 1929 at Northbranch, Kansas to Everett and Zula (Pierson) Jeffery. Ardean was the second of four sons born to Everett and Zula. He left this world June 1, 2015 at Tribune, Kansas at the age of 85. Ardean lived most of his life in the Northbranch area. Read More	Ardean Lewis Jeffery was born September 1, 1929 at Northbranch, Kansas to Everett and Zula (Pierson) Jeffery. Ardean was the second of four sons born to Everett and Zula. He left this world June 1, 2015 at Tribune, Kansas at the age of 85. Ardean lived most of his life in the Northbranch area. In the summer of 1936 Everett and Zula moved Ardean and his other three brothers, to Greenleaf, Idaho due to poor crop conditions at the time. They spent the winter in Idaho and returned to Northbranch the following spring to have a farm sale, but found the crop conditions had improved so they stayed and continued farming. Ardean attended most of his elementary school years at the Union One Country School, which was located one mile north and ½ mile east of Northbranch. He attended high school at Burr Oak, Kansas and was part of the graduating class of 1948. He farmed with his family following high school and was drafted into the Army in 1951. During his two years in the military he was stationed in Korea where he worked in a MASH Hospital. Following his military service, he returned to Northbranch and continued working on the family farm. On December 22, 1956 he married Marilyn Arnett at the Northbranch Friends Church. They resided on a farm north of Northbranch for most of their married life. To this union were born three children, a daughter, Judith and two sons, Michael and Martin. Ardean was a member of the Northbranch Friends Church and was active in many aspects of the church. Ardean was a fisherman in his spare time and loved to fish in various ponds on his property. He enjoyed taking his children and grandchildren fishing with him as well. Each of them have many “fish tales” to tell about their fishing adventures with Ardean. Ardean is preceded in death, by his parents, his wife, Marilyn and two of his brothers, Lyle and Curtis. He is survived by one brother, Kermit, of Burr Oak, Kansas, his children, Judith Pierce and her husband, Bruce, of Tribune, Kansas, Michael Jeffery of Tribune, Kansas, Martin Jeffery, and his wife Elizabeth, of Burr Oak, Kansas, seven grandchildren, Ryan Jeffery, and his wife Misty, Shane Jeffery, J. T. Jeffery and his wife Jessica, Benjamin Pierce, Sarah Nichols and her husband Ben, Bryce Jeffery, Hannah Jeffery, and four great-grandchildren Kinlee Belle Jeffery, Jaelynn Rose Jeffery, Jace Martin Jeffery, and Wyatt Michael Ardean Jeffery. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Northbranch Friends Church, in Northbranch, Kansas. Memorials will go to the Northbranch Friends Church in care of Williams Funeral Home in Red Cloud, Nebraska.
