Marilyn left this world November 27, 2012 at Tribune, KS. Marilyn and her parents lived in Gate, OK. until 1937 when they moved to Caldwell, ID. They lived in Idaho until 1948 when they moved to the Northbranch, KS. area. Marilyn attended high school in Burr Oak, KS. and was part of the graduating class of 1952. In the fall of 1952, Marilyn continued her education at Friends University in Wichita, KS. She attended Friends University for 2 years. In 1954 she came back home and taught in the country school located in Northbranch, KS. On December 22, 1956 she married Ardean L. Jeffery at the Northbranch (KS.) Friends Church. They resided on a farm near Northbranch, KS. for most of their married life. Three children were born to this union, a daughter Judith and two sons, Michael, and Martin. Marilyn was a member of the Northbranch (KS.) Friends Church and was active in many areas of the church. Marilyn was a homemaker for the majority of her life, but while her children were in school she worked as a substitute teacher in the Burr Oak (KS.) School system. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading many types of books. Marilyn greatly enjoyed visits from her children and grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by: parents, and brother, Theodore Edgar Arnett. Marilyn is survived by: brother, Donald Arnett of Lebanon, KS.; husband, Ardean Jeffery currently living in Tribune, KS.; children, Judith Pierce and her husband Bruce of Tribune, KS., Michael Jeffery, of Tribune, KS. and Martin Jeffery and his wife Elizabeth of Burr Oak, KS.: grandchildren, Ryan Jeffery, and his wife Misty, Shane Jeffery, J. T. Jeffery and his wife Jessica, Benjamin Pierce, Sarah Jeffery, Bryce Jeffery, Hannah Jeffery; great-granddaughter Kinlee Belle Jeffery and a host of relatives and friends. Interment was in the Northbranch Cemetery, Northbranch, KS.
