He was married to Olive Brown in Belleville, Kansas. He was for some years employed as a railroad man and also engaged in prospecting and mining in the Southern states. In 1924, he moved to Chelan, and in 1932 to Manson where he has since resided. He has operated an orchard and also has worked as a carpenter. Russell, resident of the area since 1924, died Monday in the local hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Russell was born January 2, in Boone, Iowa. He was married to Olive Brown in Belleville, Kansas. He was for some years employed as a railroad man and also engaged in prospecting and mining in the Southern states. In 1924, he moved to Chelan, and in 1932 to Manson where he has since resided. He has operated an orchard and also has worked as a carpenter. Surviving are his widow, Olive Russell, and four children, Helen Thompson, Wenatchee, Vern O'Connell, Seattle; Paul and Dean Russell both of Manson, several grandchildren; one sister in San Jose, California and one brother in San Gabriel, California. Services for Mr. Russell are being held this afternoon from the Rose Chapel with Rev. Eugene Hibbard officiating. Interment is in Riverview Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home in charge.
