Description	:	Arthur Wilhelm Robert Einspahr was born December 19, 1901, at his parents' farm home in Wanda Township near Juniata, Nebraska. He was the eighteenth of nineteen children of Peter C. and Auguste F. (nee Berndt) Einspahr. Arthur was received into the family of God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on January 1, 1902, at Zion Lutheran Church in Wanda Township near Juniata, Nebraska. Arthur was received into the family of God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on January 1, 1902, at Zion Lutheran Church in Wanda Township near Juniata, Nebraska. The Reverend Reinhold Ludwig performed the baptism. "Art" attended the Zion Lutheran parochial school, and the Reverend Arthur W. Wilk confirmed Arthur March 16, 1916, at Zion Lutheran Church. Art traveled to Concordia, Missouri, the next fall where he attended the high school at St. Paul's College for one year. Then he returned to his parents' farm in Wanda Township. Mr. Arthur W. R. Einspahr and Miss Theadora S. Wilk were united in marriage August 27, 1925, at the Zion Lutheran parsonage in Wanda Township near Juniata, Nebraska. Theadora's father, the Reverend Arthur W. Wilk, performed the ceremony. Art and Thea first resided in the Peter C. Einspahr home in Wanda Township, and they farmed in that community until 1939. At that time they moved to a farm south of Holyoke, Colorado. (The house from that farm was later moved into Holyoke, and it is located directly across the street south of Zion Lutheran Church. Later, the Jack Stahl's resided on that farm and built a brick house. Still later, Delmer and Eileen Moss purchased that farm.) Some time later the Einspahr's rented a farm that was owned by Will E. Heginbotham of Holyoke, Colorado. Art farmed in the Holyoke community until 1969, when he retired. Next, the Einspahr's moved to El Paso, Texas, to reside with their son Robert for two years. Then, they moved to Wheatridge, Colorado in 1971, where "Art" acquired employment as a custodian at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakewood, Colorado, until his second retirement in 1983. Art and Thea decided to live with their daughter Gloria and her husband Jenner Johnson, and they moved to Natchitoches, Louisiana, in July of 1984. They remained there for one year, and then they moved to a small home in Sidney, Nebraska, where their son was serving as a pastor. The Einspahr's transferred their church membership to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sidney, Nebraska, at that time. Arthur's health gradually declined through the years because of Alzheimer's Disease, and it became necessary for Art to become a resident of Beverly Healthcare Center in Sidney, Nebraska, in December of 1986. (Mrs. Einspahr moved into an assisted living wing of the same establishment.) Art passed away quietly in his sleep at the old age of 87 years, 10 months, and 27 days. The Reverend Henry Niermann and the Reverend Ronald Cox officiated the funeral service for Arthur Einspahr at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sidney, Nebraska on Monday, November 20, 1989. Interment was at the nearby Greenwood Cemetery. His wife for 64 years, his son - the Reverend Robert L. Einspahr of Sidney, Nebraska, and three daughters - Mrs. John (Lou Ann) Lauer of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Rollin(Eldeen) Cattau of Waco, Texas, and Mrs. E. Jenner (Gloria) Johnson Jr. of Natchitoches, Louisiana, twelve grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren, and his brother Lorenz Einspahr survived Arthur Einspahr. "Art" is remembered for his sense of humor. A phrase that he so often used to say, "See you next Tuesday!" was the fitting end of the eulogy at the funeral service. obit is from Our Colorado Family
