The Reverend Ernest Flach baptized Ferdinand as an infant. Zion Lutheran Church in Wanda Township had not been built yet, and Ferdinand may have been baptized at his parents'home. Elfrieda Plambeck was born January 30, 1882, south of Yutan, Nebraska, and her parents were Henry George and Rosanna (nee Wuthrich)Plambeck. (Her father was an immigrantfrom Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and her mother was an immigrant from Lueg,Switzerland.) The Plambeck family moved to Wanda Township in late 1885 or early 1886. The Reverend Wilhelm Wambsganss confirmed Elfrieda April 3, 1898, at Zion Lutheran Church in Wanda Township near Juniata, Nebraska. FerdinandEinspahr was united in marriage with Miss Elfrieda Plambeck on October 31,1902, and the Reverend Reinhold Ludwig presided over the ceremony. The Einspahr's were blessed with seven children, and five of them reached adulthood. Mr. Einspahr's occupation was mainly real estate, but he also engaged in farming part of the time. His occupation was the reason for he and his family moving to various locations. First, they first resided near Hastings, Nebraska, where their son Raymond was born. Then, they moved to Kenesaw, Nebraska, in 1906,where their son Clinton was born. Next, they resided at Artesia, New Mexico, and their daughter Fern was born there in 1909. The Einspahr's returned to Nebraska, about a year later, and they resided near Roseland, where their daughter Garnet was born in 1911. Soon, they moved to Kenesaw, Nebraska, again. Their son Sylvester was born there in 1912. About that time Ferdinand became a 1912 Overland automobile agent, and then he had a job selling "Bockstader"hoses. Finally Ferdinand and Elfrieda resided at Elwood, Nebraska, where their youngest daughter Irene was born in1914. The marriage of Ferdinand and Elfrieda did not last. Elfrieda left Ferdinand in 1919, and they were divorced soon thereafter. Elfrieda married their neighbor George Bunger on June 17, 1924. Ferdinand Einspahr later married the widow Meyer on July 15, 1926, at the Zion Lutheran parsonage in Wanda Township near Juniata,Nebraska. The Reverend Arthur W. Wilk performed the ceremony. His bride was Mrs. Emma E. C. (nee Koch) Meyer from nearby Minden, Nebraska. Ferdinand and Emma Einspahr and her four children moved to Flagler, Colorado, soon after the wedding. The newlyweds engaged in farming northwest of Flagler. The Einspahr's became the foster parents of his brother Ernst's baby girl Elvera on October 14, 1926, when Ernst's wife passed away. Elvera remained in this household until she was about eight or nine years old. Nearly a year later tragedy arrived when Ferdinand was involved in a car-train accident near Flagler, on October 10,1927. He died in the back room of"William's Pharmacy" in Flagler, at the age of 48 years, 3 months, and 11 days. His funeral service was held at Zion Lutheran Church in Flagler, Colorado, and then his body was transported to Minden, Nebraska, where he was buried at the Koch family plot at the Minden Cemetery. His wife Emma, his 3 sons and 2 daughters, his four stepchildren, his parents, 8 brothers and 3 sisters survived Ferdinand Einspahr.
