Description	:	The body of A. S. Reynolds was returned to Sigourney Tuesday night from Clearwater, Florida where he died Friday night of a heart attack. He had been in his usual good health and had spent the afternoon in a garage where he had gone to have the oil changed in his car. He was ill only half hour. He had been in his usual good health and had spent the afternoon in a garage where he had gone to have the oil changed in his car. He was ill only half hour. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds left Hayesville three weeks ago by car and were going to spend the winter in Florida. Word came Friday evening and his nephew, Irwin Reynolds left immediately from Ottumwa for Chicago, where he made the rest of the trip by plane. He accompanied his aunt back, driving her car back for her. They arrived here Tuesday afternoon about 4 p.m. He was born January 4, 1879 at Lancaster, the son of Allen W. and Laura Reynolds. His entire life has been spent in Keokuk county, having gone into the furniture and undertaking business in Ollie, when a young man. On August 22, 1900, he was married to Emeline Nelson of Richland and to this union one son was born. They moved to Sigourney in 1917, from Ollie and entered the undertaking business here. In 1935 he sold out to his nephew, Irvin and he went to the farm he had purchased near Haysville, where he expected to live a retired life. However, when war broke out and his nephew went into the service, he returned and operated the business for him 22 months, until he was discharged from the service. He then returned to his farm, where he lived until he and his wife went to Florida for the winter. While in business here, he was very active in civic affairs, being very interested in the community. He was a member of the Christian church and a prominent mason. He was preceded in death by his son, Harry, who died in 1932. He is survived by his wife, one granddaughter, Meriam [Miriam] and his daughter-in-law, Mildred; two sisters and five brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Christian church with Robert Hall in charge and burial will be made in the Pleasant Grove cemetery. The body will remain at the Reynolds Funeral home until time for the service.
