Funeral services will be at the Conde Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. James Person officiating. He attended Brentford Schools and Northern State College. He married Elsie Young May 21, 1941 at Huron. He was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad in Deadwood and Edgemont before returning to college at Black Hills State Teachers College, Spearfish. He graduated in 1968. He then was employed as manager of the Western S.D. Traffic Bureau where he worked at the time of his death. He was a member of the South Maple Methodist Church, Rapid City and the Burnt Toast Toastmasters Club. Survivors include his wife, of Rapid City; one son, Dr. Alan Evans, Toledo, Ohio; his mother, Mrs. Esther Evans, Conde; two brothers, Cyril Evans, Stratford, and Layle Evans, Conde; and one sister, Mrs. Earl (Lorena) Lutz, Aberdeen. *********************************************************
