Read More	Her sons' obituary shows her complete name to be: Adelheid Sophia Dora Wickens Ebbeka. EBBEKA, ELLA S.—Ella S. Ebbeka, daughter of Peter and Emma Wilckens was born on a farm near Concordia, Mo., September 3, 1877. She passed away December 5, 1962, at Fillmore County hospital in Geneva at the age of 85 years, 3 months and 2 days. She was united in marriage to Henry Ebbeka, March 15, 1899, at Valley City, Mo., and a year later moved to Nebraska and settled near Carleton. To this union five children were born, William, Emma, Walter, Lawrence and Eda. In the spring of 1917 the family moved to a farm south of Geneva. Mrs. Ebbeka was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran church of Concordia, Mo., retaining her membership there until her death. After moving to Geneva, there being no Lutheran church at that time, she attended Evangelical United Brethren church as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, September 29, 1932, and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. William Ebbeka, May 1, 1944. She leaves to mourn her passing three sons, William Walter and Lawrence, two daughters, Emma and Eda (Mrs. Clarence Kelch), all of Geneva, two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Walter Ebbeka and Mrs. Lawrence Ebbeka, one son-in-law, Clarence Kelch; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and six brothers, Fred Wilckens of Sweet Springs, Mo., William Wilckens of Warrensburg, Mo., Peter Wilckens of Concordia, Mo., Julius Wilckens of Springfiled, Mo., Arthur Wilckens of Warrensburg, Mo., and Henry Wilckens of Concordia, Mo., and one sister, Mrs. Lewis Hall of Sweet Springs, Mo., nieces and nephews and other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held December 8 at 2 p. m. at Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva with Rev. Maude Mann of Lushton officiating, assisted by Rev. Fred Stevens of the Evangelical United Brethren church. Mrs. Gerald Pickerell sang “In the Garden” and “No Night There,” accompanied by Mrs. Willard Foster. Pallbearers were neighbors, John Burt, George Decker, Claude Erisman, Clyde Ewart, Thomas Ewalt and Fred Schaldecker. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
